Architect Alvar Aalto's organic shapes come to life in the Aalto collection. Architect Alvar Aalto designed the Aalto collection in 1936. It won gold at the Karhula Iittala glass competition, making them the entry work to the Paris World Fair in 1937. The new Aalto 262x50mm bowl follows the original shape from the 1930s, created in a multifunctional bowl size for modern lifestyles. The light green colour shade honours the original clear colour from the 1930s. The Aalto bowls are mouthblown and handcrafted at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland.
