Historically, Kähler is very well known and recognised for their ceramic figurines. A tradition that artist Louise Hindsgavl brings to her work with the Moments of Being series, where she goes both back in time to the old Kähler era, and into the time we find ourselves in now. With the character Heavenly Grounded, Louise Hindsgavl manifests the feeling and moment when a woman is exactly where she wants to be in life. The 22.5-cm-tall porcelain figure depicts a woman raising her arm while sitting – almost sprawling. Relaxed. Balanced. Anchored. Heavenly Grounded is a tribute to women who have made peace with a situation. Her life or her changes. Heavenly Grounded symbolises self-confidence and power – to stand firm, to be down-to-earth, to be in exactly the right place for you as a woman. Moments of Being is a series of three women’s sculptures, which in addition to Heavenly Grounded consists of Beginnings and Silent Change. All figurines are shaped in white-glazed, matt faience in a simple and classic design, where the rounded shapes define each individual woman’s figure.
