Architect Alvar Aalto designed the Aalto collection in 1936. It won gold at the Karhula Iittala glass competition, making them the entry work to the Paris World Fair in 1937. The new 250mm vase draws inspiration from those times and is an original shape with an updated size to suit modern needs. Produced at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland, each vase is mouthblown to a wooden mould making its surface even more lively and special. The pale green colour mimics the clear glass used in the 1930s. Limited and numbered 2023 piece edition.
